On Monday September 11, 2017 WiGoTrips founder and CEO, Jaqui McCarthy, pitched their travel startup to a panel of 20 investors, and was awarded two startup grants at the Pure Pitch Rally from Scott Hedrick, CEO of Pro Athlete, INC and Erik Wullschleger of WeWorks. Next, the WiGo team will be attending Denver Start-up Week at the end of September.

“There aren’t many events in the local community that offer grants. Not only does Pure Pitch Rally offer grants, but it brought together influential business leaders from several industries. It was a tremendous room filled with dreamers, doers and achievers that brought serious light to the KC start-up scene.Receiving these grants helps WiGo establish a local presence and share what we are looking to accomplish,” Jaqui McCarthy, CEO/Founder of WiGoTrips.

The team at WiGo Trips is working to solve this problem and bring connection into our digital world through travel via a trip sharing app. The app connects travelers to each other while enabling travelers to plan and share trips to share with one another for split cost or for profit." - Jaqui McCarthy
