5 Things to bring with you when traveling to NYC

The fall is one of the perfect times to visit New York City. Visiting popular tourist attractions will be less busy with the summer rush finally gone. You miss the dreaded summer heat, but also visit right before the brutally cold winter comes in. You can visit Central Park and watch the leaves start to turn a beautiful red and orange, while surrounded by a concrete jungle. These are the essential items that you will need to bring with you to New York City so that you can get the most out of your trip.

 1. Comfortable Shoes

If you plan to spend most of your time in NYC visiting tourist areas and doing a lot of walking, a pair of comfortable shoes is essential. Also, it helps to keep up with the fast pace lifestyle of the city.

2. A Light Jacket

Fall weather in NYC can be fairly unpredictable during the day, and you never know if it will be warm or cold outside. However, you can guarantee that it will get fairly chilly once the sun goes down. If you are going in the late fall, a pair of gloves and scarf may also be a good idea to pack.

3. Nice-Formal Outfit

Many basic places throughout the city have not a formal dress code. However, if you plan to go to a more formal dinner or a nicer club/bar, it’s always always a safe bet to have an outfit for the occasion.

4. Sunscreen

Even in the fall, the sun can still be fairly strong in the city. So be prepared with a bottle of sunscreen or a pair of sunglasses just in case.

5. A Great Appetite

They do not call NYC a giant melting pot for nothing. You can eat just about any food possible in the city, and try foods you never knew existed. Be prepared to take a cheat day on your diet to fully experience the culturally diverse food the city has to offer.
