Zaric loves to dance. Dancing has become such a passion of his, that he has taken his dance skills across the world. He is no stranger to organising dance expeditions in far-flung places, and so becoming a WiGo Trips Ambassador came naturally to him. His last WiGo Trips tour was in his hometown of North Carolina, for a salsa-bachata dancing convention, where he danced the night away on board a battleship. Literally. Zaric said: “It was a ton of fun. It was by the beach. They also had a main event which was dancing on a battleship on the army fort. That was very cool. It was a blast. There were a couple thousand people there. The energy was great. People were were excited to get started and attend the event. Everybody was very cool and like-minded.” For Zaric, being a WiGo Trips ambassador is about more than just being able to have a good time and meet some friends abroad. It also affords him the opportunity to combine two of his passions - dancing and travel, while getting paid for it. “WiGo Trips gives me the opportunity to travel and see the world, while meeting like-minded people. It also makes it easier to organize trips and meet new people through the app.” But Zaric is no ordinary traveller. In the past he has worked as a professional dancer, and given TEDx talks on dancing. Now he spends much of his time organizing exciting journeys overseas and planning his next adventure. He said: “I used to be a professional dancer and I was part of a professional dance team in North Carolina. I loved every minute of it. In college, I was a member of the premier dance team as well. “I did a TEDx talk on performance in dance and was placed in competitions for the ‘So You Think You Can Dance?’ TV show. Dancing has always been near and dear to my heart. With travelling, the Latin dance community is so big. A lot of people like to dance but they also like to go to events near them, so WiGo Trips is a great way to organize those events.” In some ways, Zaric is living the life that many dream of living and WiGo Trips has helped to facilitate that. His next project will involve taking a group of dancers all the way to Hawaii in February 2020. Zaric added: “It will be another huge dancing convention. The organizers have 5-6 years of experience organizing the convention. They just get a bunch of people together, and organize performances, competitions and workshops. “People will get the opportunity to dance and just love life. It’s amazing. There are so many cool opportunities. These conferences are literally all over the world - they are everywhere. There is something happening every week.” One of the biggest benefits of organizing these dance tours via the WiGo Trips app is that it makes it easier to bring together people who would otherwise be sceptical of going on one of these tours. This is because people often feel more comfortable and safe booking tours via a recognized app, rather than paying for a tour arranged by an individual. As a result, it has become much easier for Zaric to organize tours via the app. ![]() Janine Griffiths | Journalist Janine is a copywriter and marketing strategist from England, with a background in journalism.
