Kasey Baltz is no ordinary traveler. While most people enjoy the sun, sea and sand of tropical climates, for Kasey, overseas journeys represent so much more. She has infused travel, journalism, meditation and sociology to create her perfect adventures. But rather than keep it all to herself, she now wants to share her nomadic wisdom with the world, and create custom adventures for the intrepid. Joining WiGo Trips has presented her with the perfect opportunity to do just that. She said: “Ever since I was young, I always wanted to travel. My parents always wanted to bring me on trips for experiential education. There was nothing in the world that I loved more than travel. In college I studied sociology, environmental science and journalism. When I travel, my main focus is to study the culture, environment and people. Those things have really inspired my travels. I love making new connections and meeting like-minded people and making the most of my life.” At just 21 years old, Kasey has already lived and worked in many countries across the world and she learned some powerful lessons while she was abroad. She explained: “I came back from a retreat in Bali which was called the rebirth retreat. It is revolved around taking a group of strangers and trying to reach a state of vulnerability, pure connection and love with a group of people that you don’t know. One of the people who created these trips is a breathwork coach. So he shows people different types of breathwork based on Wayne Hoffman’s techniques. “We had a lot of breathwork and different types of meditation that was unlike anything I’d ever experienced in my life. The inspiration and the family that I got really inspired me to do my own trips and create a space like that for the world. I got a lot of inspiration from my trip to do that.” Now Kasey has teamed up with WiGo Trips and plans to create her own group tours, where travelers can develop connections with other people and participate in meditation activities. She will be creating her own itineraries, which would allow others to have their own powerful and spiritual experiences. Reflecting upon her own tours abroad, Kasey said that the most powerful lessons she learned during her adventures was finding gratitude in everything - including her appreciation of the little things. She said that it made her find inner peace without worrying about what was ahead. She said: “The most powerful lesson I learned during my meditation is gratitude. So for every little thing, I find the gratitude in it. So even things like eating an apple or just walking, I found the gratitude, peace and love. “It was about appreciating the positives in every little thing, instead of just moving straight on to the next thing. Being able to appreciate everything and stop my brain from thinking about the future has been huge for my life.” Fancy taking off sometime soon? Fancy taking a group tour across the United States?
